After catching an early ferry we spent the afternoon in this little Italian town in the middle of the Costa Rican mountains and had a wonderful pizza (Corey even partook) and headed for the border. All was fine and dandy until we stepped into the Immigrations Office to enter panama. For some reason the office didn´t have any more entrance stamps and the bank where they buy them just happened to be closed on a monday afternoon at 2:30... long story short we spent the night there and missed our bus the next morning because for some reason somebody decided that Panama ought to be in a different time zone than costa rica. Fortunately we got another bus later and arrived in Cerro Punta in time to hike the beautiful ¨Sendero de los Quetzales¨ (unfortunately we didn´t see any of the famous bird, the Quetzal) putting us in Boquete so that we can hike the highest peak in Panama tomorrow, Volcan, Baru!
