This trip was special, because my younger brother and his wife, Sue, joined my wife and I on this journey. The ship, the Marco Polo (Orient Lines), used to be owned by a Russian company when its name was the Alexandr Pushkin. It's a double-hulled ship that I later cruised on to Antarctica in January of 2005. The Marco Polo was retired from service several years ago. I believe there's a Marco Polo II under the Orient Line banner.

This journey started in Istanbul and ended in Athens. The port stops were Troy, Kusadasi, Delos, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, and Piraeus (Athens).
