After we returned to Tokyo on the "bullet" train from Okayama, we visited the shopping district that specializes in electronics. I bought a Canon A1 camera with two lens, but back in those days they were film cameras. Since a few years ago when the one (new) digital camera I was carrying was stolen by a teenage kid in Montevideo on a cruise from Buenos Aires to Barcelona, I've been packing two or three cameras on every trip to make sure I have a backup in case a) it gets stolen, or b) it breaks down.
