Nov 18, Monday: PRAGUE'S population with 1.2 million can be somewhat deceiving, because so many tourists visit here.  Prague is the most popular travel destination in Central Europe. The attractions are many with bridges, the swan-filled Vltava River, cathedrals, and spires that points heavenward.   Prague has the Old City and City Center, both vibrant by night and day with their many restaurants, night clubs, and bars.

Prague was founded in the 9th century, and it became the seat of Bohemian kings - some as emperors of the Holy Roman Empire.  Many of the cities attractions date back to the 14th century.

After 1989, many foreigners including many young people and students moved here.

In 1993, Czechoslovakia split into two countries, and Prague became the capital city of the new Czech Republic.

Our travel group departed for Prague at 8:30am, and arrived after 4:30pm.

We spent three nights in Prague.
