SORRENTO:
Sep 13: This was the day of a half-day included tour to Stabiae, and a home-hosted lunch in the St. Agnello area a short distance from Sorrento. Stabiae was an ancient Roman villa for the elite as a summer resort and spa. It was then called the Villa San Marco where they built a large and luxurious villa which is now in active excavation on 150 acres that will eventually be transformed into an archaeological park to show off its buildings, art and culture.
Some in our group did the optional dinner and show at Tasso Teatro. The singing by all in the show were very good; bravo!
I walked 11 miles.
