What can anyone say about this world wonder? The geologic exposures of the Grand Canyon range in age from 2 billion year old at the bottom to the 230 million year old of the rim with about one billion years between the stratum and the lower level.
It's length is 277 miles long, and from 4 to 18 miles wide.
Geologically it is significant because of the thick sequence of ancient rocks that are beautifully preserved and exposed in the walls of the canyon. These rock layers record much of the early geologic history of the North American continent.
So, without further adieu, here are my photographs.
