WITTENBERG:
The Lutherhaus is one of the main attraction of Wittenberg, because this is where Martin Luther lived and worked. Martin Luther rebelled against the Catholic Church, and his Reformation was formed and crystalized into doctrines that he shared with students from all over Europe.
Martin Luther's House is one of the first things you see as you enter the Old Town. This is where the Luther family made up of his wife and six children called home. Also, students and visitors lived in this building which was gifted to him by an aristocrat who supported his movement.
The Lutherhaus is now a museum, and the living room appears as when he lived there. It's also where the christian religion was "reformed" from Catholicism to Protestantism in the early 1500's. The Luther sites were designated a UNICEF World Heritage Site in 1998.
