This day started with our sunrise visit to Uluru, and our walk at Kata Tjuta.

Our Qantas flight took 2.5 hours from Uluru to Cairns. We arrived at our hotel in Port Douglas at about 6:30PM, then the “men” (5 of us) took the shuttle ($7 r/t) into town for a pub crawl. We started at the Iron Bar, the bar I visited when I visited Australia the first time over ten years ago (been telling everyone it was 20-years ago). We all decided that our pub crawl will be four venues, and we stuck with this agreement. We then went into Paddy's Irish Bar, the third bar, Rattle n Hum Bar and Grill, was pretty nice too, then back to the Iron Bar, because a lady in a shop said the Iron Bar is the best bar in Port Douglas. That made my day!

On our return to the Iron Bar, the bar was filled with people with a live band with a good singer playing on stage in the back. When we finished, the Iron Bar was almost empty. We took the shuttle back to our hotel, and ended another fantastic day.

Anyone would think that the great variety of what we have seen and experienced  during the past eight days would be completely satisfied with any one journey, but what we were able to see and experience during the next six days were just as exhilarating, exciting, and satisfying. *Words just doesn't do it any justice.

So, on with the show!
