After waking late we still had a bit of a drive down an interstate to Louisville to get started on the day, but once there the day fell into place. Arriving at the Louisville Slugger factory/museum we were able to secure a tour within minutes. Bruce took us around and did a great job. Constantly tempted to touch the bats, but that was against the rules. I was able to answer all the questions Bruce asked throughout the tour and I think that endeared him to us, so after talking to him at the end of the tour he tracked us down to give the girls extra pink mini-bats (which was a big hit). There was a great cafe right down the block from the factory but Kendra didn't want to go, so we left the area and the chance to visit the Mohamed Ali museum too. Instead we headed to Churchill Downs for lunch and a tour. Lunch was good (and we were given extra mint julep glasses which made the girls smile), but the tour not so much. Left there and were still able to make a zipline tour of mega cavern. Afterwards we found a Lush boutique for Jasmine, before heading to Bardstown for the night. Cool old town, and nice hotel. Score.

- getting a minibat at the end of the tour, and then a special pink minibat for the two girls from the tour guide
- nice lunch at the derby cafe
- reintroduction to mint juleps at derby cafe (new favorite cocktail)
- nice museum tour at Churchill Downs
- great zip lining at Mega Cavern
- Jasmine's comment "I didn't even recognize the Great Breakfast" when she meant "the Last Supper"
- seeing fox run alongside the road coming out of ziplining.
- Jasmine finding a Lush Cosmetics in Louisville
- finding hotel room in Bardstown, which looks to be great old southern town
- discovering there are 5 bourbon distilleries in area of hotel all with tours

Lowlights:
- missing breakfast at the hotel because we woke too late (ended at 9am)
- the parking meter eating my $5 bill leaving me wondering if I'd get ticketed
- missing out on Mohammed Ali museum because the girls wanted to leave and get lunch
- not eating at Mrs. Potters because Kendra wanted to go elsewhere
- dealing with bizarre driving habits of Kentucky drivers
