Good Bye to Big Henry, Little Henry and Laju

So when you choose the expat lifestyle, and you meet people in your new home country...you automatically are forced to lump them into one of two categories...short term expat friends...or long term expat friends. The short termers are only in your country for maybe a few weeks or months...the long termers are like you...in country for at least a year or two. Sadly we lost a few long termers this past month when Little Henry (South Africa), Big Henry (Kiwi) and Laju (American) left us in Hyderabad for other countries. Little Henry managed to smash my camera up good before he left, but I'll make sure he covers my repair fees when I visit him in Dubai. Big Henry went off to Turkey for some vaca, then work in Bulgaria and Oman. And Laju went back to her boring desk job in Chicago with HSBC. Going away dinners were had for each one of them...Little H at the new Mexican place, Big H at Our Place and Laju's dinner was at Angeethi....hopefully we'll see them back in H'bad soon.
