What to wear for my costume this year? Such a huge decision to make. Another question you I often ask myself is why don't I do more the learn the local language of Telegu spoken in most parts of Andhra Pradesh of which Hyderabad is the capital of? While pondering these two questions, I was sent the following you-tube link which I think will help me a) learn Telegu and b) gives me a great costume idea....plus I have a new favorite song. Warning! Things get a little freaky around the 5:43 mark....be careful if you're watching at work.

That's a very real video produced right here in Hyderabad to promote safe sex and condom usage. It was produced in Secunderabad which is a subburb of HYD. Sort of a catchy tune huh? And don't say I didn't warn you about mark 5:43...wow.
Anyway...a few of us decide to head out Wednesday night for the Halloween festivities and some of us decide to actually dress up. I go with a simple costume (not a condom), one in which I could easily fit in should no one else at the the bar/party be wearing costumes. Nick, Beck, Deanne and others however go full bore and dress us as a variety of characters and really standout in the crowd at Ahala. I think we may have been the only ones wearing costumes, but that's fine...I don't mind the locals laughing at me one day each year. :)
Good times on Halloween...hope the pictures do it justice.
