We atarted out at 8:00 am this moring in bright sun,but it didn't take long for it to become foggy.  No rain, just fog which quickly shrouded the coast.

Our fist stop was Cape Foulweather (how appropriate) where we did manage to see a grey whale out in the water by seeing a spout of water come up.  Of course we had to use binoculars, but just the same we did see him.

Next stop Seal Rock State Park where we could see pelicans, commorants, but no seals.

We stopped at Devil's Churn which is a split rock that narrows to a few feet before finally disappearing into the cliff.

We went to Sea Lions Cave and got to see the sea lions laying on the rocks, quite the sight.  Also took an elevator down 200 ft. to see the cave where they live.

Our trip today ended in Gold Beach, Oregon about 3:30 this afternoon.  Got to see 1 lighthouse today.  All the other many lighthouses where shrouded in fog.

Enjoyed the trip today as now we really know why they saw it's always foggy or rainy on the coast of Oregon.....it was a beautiful ride anyway and got to see the coast with it's many rock formations in the water shrouded in fog most of the time.
