What I did
Mt. Saint Helen's Volcano Monument
Today we went to the University of Oregon to check out the Autzen Stadium where they play football. We also got to go in the Casanova Center Athletic Complex and saw all the trophys. What a beautiful building. Looked inside there practice field house and enjoyed our visit.
We then headed north to Washington and to visit Mt. Saint Helen's Volcano Monument. Quite the sight to see with all the devastation of 30 years ago as well as the new growth over the years. The ride once you get off the interstate is 50 miles to the site so it was quite a long way off. I think we calculated over 300 miles today. Tomorrow should be better as we start to head south along the Oregon coast, where I hear the scenery is beautiful.
I hope everyone is enjoying my travel blog.....haven't seen too many comments so hope everyone is able to read it and see the pictures.

Dear Maggie and what's his name, We are following your blogs as soon as they come, and enjoying, and envying you, for every one. That sure is big and interesting country out there , isn't it? Toni's jealous, and wishing we were young enough to be doing what you are. We will show daughter Ruth the Yosemite pictures where they climbed Half Dome, etc. Thanks, W and T
