From there we headed north on Interstate 5. Saw a huge fire along the highway and actual flames right beside the highway on the other side of the freeway as cars/trucks were passing by.
We saw Mt. Shasta all the way along I 5 until we turned off on Highway 97 to Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Very scenic along 97 with rolling fields, migrant workers. We stopped at a rest area for a picnic lunch and enjoyed a freight train from Canada passing by. Area reminded us of the mid-west with rolling plains, but mountains in the distance.
