Where I stayed
Today we left YNP heading north. Left early in the morning as we knew we had a lot of miles to cover. Stopped at a Ralph's Grocery store to pick up stuff for a picnic lunch along the way.
It was a beautiful day for driving and we saw lots of almond trees, vegetable fields along the Interstate 5. Many, many trucks of plum tomatoes drove by us and even scattered tomatoes along the roadway.
Arrived in Redding about 2:30. Found a wonderful steakhouse near the hotel. Best steak we've had in a long time. Even beats Longhorn, which is George's favorite place if he isn't eating Shaw's sirloin tips.

Dear George and Maggie, (Monday, 9/10) Thanks for your great letters and pictures. Good for you for doing this while you are young. We've seen Yosenite and Sequoias, too. Great big country out there! Yesterday we saw Rev. Wogman from up your way. Talked about you, but didn't tell him everything about George. Love, Prices
