Where I stayed
Today we left Plymouth, NC and headed west to Asheville. A very pleasant ride along Route 64 passing lots of cotton fields and farm land. So some areas that looked like a tornado had touched down as there was a lot of rubble and trailers tipped over. Once we got to the Raleigh area we picked up Interstate 40 and drove through Winston-Salem, Greensboro heading west. Stopped for lunch somewhere outside of Greensboro and as we got closer to Asheville the mountains of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest were so beautiful. Along the route I saw a sign that said "Continental Divide - East. I never knew there was a continental divide in the east.
Arrived in Asheville around 2:30 pm and we then decided to drive to the Biltmore Village shops and find a place for dinner. Found a great restaurant called The Corner Kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented that I had to take pictures for your pleasure. Hope you like it.
After supper we drove out to Black Mountain to check out a bed and breakfast that we thought we might like to try tomorrow night, but after the guys checked it out we decided to stay a little closer to the city.
