Today we met up with Helga and Ed and spent the whole day exploring rural Tennessee and Nashville.

First we headed off down I-24 to a little town called Wartrace.  A cute little town (that once was bustling, but as all little towns most storefronts Closed).  We went into an old hotel down there (supposed to be haunted) and actually got a tour of the hotel from the current owner.  A real unique experience as he is turning it into a Halloween experience during October.

We then went to a little cafe in town where we had catfish, okra with tomatoes and onions, broccoli casserole, roasted sweet potatoes.  George had chicken tenders, chili and a big bowl of white beans......all for about 18.00.  Cute the experience as the waitresses were sure down-home Southern and very friendly.

From there we drove to a little town called Bell Buckle.  Took lots of pictures as you will see and checked out the ice cream parlour and of course had ice cream in homemade waffle cones.

Went to downtown Nashville and spent the evening walking around enjoying all the sights and nightlife as it sure was bustling on a Saturday night.  Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum was closed by the time we got there, but it was a beautiful building from the outside (looks like a piano keyboard).

Got back to Ed's house where he showed us his vintage1956 jukebox and listen to some good 50's and 60's music.  Such an evening and we had a wonderful time.
