Left Minnesota on Sunday heading to see Gene & Pam in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  It was about 320 miles away.  The drive up to Grand Forks was very flat and miles and miles of cornfields and other crops that I didn't recognize.  It seemed the roads stretch straight ahead forever.  Arrived in Grand Forks at 3:00 p.m and found Gene & Pam waiting for us. 

Gene enjoyed showing George all his guns and we both got to shot different kinds of rifles and pistols.  Of course George hit the targets, I couldn't even see the target so I just shot the guns knowing full well that I wasn't hitting the target.  Pam showed me her beautiful beading work and she has some beautiful pieces.


The sun finally went down about 10:00 p.m. and we walked outside to see the black, black sky and the stars.  They lived outside of Grand Forks where you can see for miles and miles in both directions.
