Amigos y Compaņeros.
I am very active and involved in the English Speaking community in San Miguel,
which makes me feel very connected to and part of the English Speaking Community
in San Miguel, and to San Miguel - that is why I know so many people in San Miguel.
I am involved in the Universal Unitarian Fellowship, the Secular Humanist Association, the Rotary, Occupy Wall Street - San Miguel, the Institute for Global Justice, various discussion groups - The Philosophy of Life; Personal Philosophy, the Economics of Mexico and the Mexican Economy. Helping the less fortunate Mexicans - eg. the deaf (children). The water situation in San Miguel (water warehousing). Courses in the Life Long Learning Program such as Mexican History, Atheism, Secular Humanism, Philosophy. I go to a week long International Writer's Conference here in San Miguel every year in February...
Also there are many potluck diner parties, group luncheons and group diners out in restaurants.
And just meeting new people all of the time - visitors to San Miguel, part time residents of San Miguel that come and go, etc..
I also belong to several secret organization that I am involved in,
that I am not at liberty to disclose... I have already said too much about that...
There are other people on this travelblog distribution list that also belong to these secret organizations that will know what I am talking about - these are worldwide secret organizations,
that have their tentacles everywhere in the world, even in San Miguel..
Those of you who are not in the know, will be left thinking and wondering about these secret organizations.... Note: These secret organization are not involved in trying to obtain world domination or control of the whole world.... I went to a conference of the secret organization
in Puerta Vallarta last year - I do not think that I will go to it this year - I just do not have the time and I have other priorities - eg. learning to speak Spanish, my Life Ling Learning Program classes and courses, etc..
And I have and do go on little trips to other places in Mexico. Last year I was in Puerta Vallarta, Toluca and Guanajuato, capital city of the state of Guanajuato, the Mexican state
that San Miguel is in - I wanted to see the State Governor about some things
that I wanted to talk to him about.... .
And I have been involved in acting in plays, I am an actor. But I do not do that any more - takes too much time and energy and effort that I do not have to spare... Some people can read their lines and remember them - I have to memorize my lines - which takes a lot of time and energy and effort.
And on top of all of this I am taking Spanish lessons in my attempt to learn to speak Spanish.
This can take up to more than half (+1/2) of my time, energy and effort.
It is like being a part time student in school (more than part time - almost full time)...
It is like being a part time student in school - and there is homework.. ughhhhhhh!!!!
- because I am a part time student in school, a Spanish School..
I want to do everything and be involved in everything - which of course is not possible,
and which I have to keep reminding myself of...
I find being in San Miguel very stimulating and energizing.. It is adapting to and adjusting to a new environment and the related challenges that, that involves.. I think that it must be the same or similar for immigrants to Canada - they find their new environment in Canada stimulating and energizing - and the challenges involved in adapting and adjusting to their new environment..
As a group, it is a proven fact, that immigrants to Canada, in general, do better than native born Canadians.. Of course it does take a certain type of person to immigrate, and that would be part reason for their higher success rate than native born Canadians...
