Compadres y Compeneros;
It is about a 20 minute walk from my place in San Miguel
to the center of San Miguel.
The center of San Miguel is referred to as Centro
which is the Central Plaza, or the Principle Plaza.
It is referred to, in San Miguel, as the Jardin...
All Mexican, Spanish and Latin American villages, towns and cities
in the Spanish speaking part of the world - 27 different countries, in
South, Central and North America and Africa and Europe - have a central plaza..,
The central/principle plaza is the center of the village, town or city..
Usually the central plaza is referred to as the Zocola.
In San Miguel, it is referred to as the Jardin..
Spanish cities have more than one plaza, they can have many plaza's.
But they only have one central plaza, one principle plaza, the Zocola.
The Spanish Language is the second most spoken language,
as a native language, in the world, after Chinese and ahead of English.....
Note: English is the most spoken language in the world as a second language..
The Principle Plaza, the Zocola, have the principle government building on one side,
the biggest and largest Roman Catholic Church on the other side, the residence
of the principle family on another side (or the main financial institution)
and on the fourth side is retail outlets - restaurants, cafe's, cantina's, etc....
It is a 20 minute walk from my place to the Central Plaza, the Jardin, in San Miguel.
It is a very steep walk from my place to Centro...
And I am breathing very heavily when I do this walk.
It may be the altitude (San Miguel is at an altitude of 7,000 feet)
and the heavy breathing may stop
once I have adjusted to the higher altitude.
Or it may be because I am walking too fast (or at least trying to walk too fast)
and the heavy breathing will stop,
when I have adjusted my walking to a slower pace..
Some people think that it might be my age that is the cause of my heavy breathing...
I think that some people are stupid.......... . .
It is a 20 minute walk, a hard walk, from my place in San Miguel, to Cento.
It is a 10 minute walk, an easy walk, from Centro to my place in San Miguel,
and no heavy breathing is involved,
Walking downhill is much faster and easier than walking uphill..
And I am very happy that the easy walking
is when I am going back to my place, when I am tired and wornout.
I walk everywhere in San Miguel....
And one of the things that I like about walking about and around San Miguel,
is that when I am walking to Cento or I am walking about and around San Miguel,,
is that I always meet people that I know, that I stop and talk to...
I know a lot of people in San Miguel.....
But that is another story, that I will talk about later, in another travelblog......
Viva La Mexico!!!!
