Go with me? Passover and Easter holidays bring to mind family, traditions, and special foods that comfort us from year to year. And springtime gets us in cleanup-fixup mode. So we're going to CookWorks for a little shopping.

CookWorks on Frazier at the north end of the Walnut Street Bridge is where to get your pots and pans - they carry Calphalon and All-Clad. The coffee-making equipment is Krups, the food processors Cuisinart, the dishes Zrike. And they have every accessory you'd ever think of for having fun in the kitchen.

Spring is blooming on every shelf in the store this month. Check out the new acrylics in bright blues and greens and yellows. Are you ready for outdoor grilling? They have a slew of grilling merchandise, picnic baskets with everything but the food inside, and a new kind of soft tote for your beverages.

Maybe you're a regular customer in their gourmet foods section. If so, you're already hooked on Stonewall Kitchen jams and jellies and James Plagniol olive oils. The fat-free summertime foods are on sale this month.

Do you want to improve your culinary skills? Get the list of classes and get cooking. The free April 18 Saturday 1 pm class will help you organize your kitchen. There's a free class every month so get on the mailing list; enrollees get discounts on certain store items.

Tuesday cooking classes are at 6:30 pm and cost $25. April's offerings are Cooking with Fresh Herbs, Outdoor Dining, and The Hors D'oeuvres Party. Special classes can be organized for friends, civic groups or school classes - call with your idea and schedule a date.

Bill Hall's April 16 wine-tasting dinner features rich South American red wines and authentic dishes from Chile, no need for a passport. See you there.
