Unicoi State Park is two miles from Helen; the park's 1,081 acres have 84 campsites, 30 cottages, and a 100-room lodge and conference center. Programs are offered on Fridays and Saturdays year-round; swim, fish or boat in the 53-acre lake.

Unicoi Lodge Restaurant is buffet style and features mountain trout at night; choose fireside dining or mountain views.
