Dillard, Georgia, population unknown.
The Dillard House is certainly the biggest draw in Dillard, with 1,200 people a day partaking of the bountiful country-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the spacious dining room overlooking a beautiful valley. Dillard House Stables offers guided horseback rides along the Little Tennessee River, or into the backwoods of the Warwoman Wildlife Refuge.
Stop at the Dillard Antique Mall and browse for a while, then drive on to Sky Valley, Georgia's only spot for skiing. Rabun Bald is just beyond, elevation 4,696 feet.
The Dillard House offers rooms in the original House, also separate cottages, fully equipped houses, the restaurant, a pool, and riding stables. Sky Valley Resort not only has skiing, but championship golf and tennis as well.
