Wartrace, Tennessee, population unknown.

Wartrace is known as the Cradle of the Tennessee Walking Horse; the first World Champion, Strolling Jim, was raised here and today is buried behind the Walking Horse Hotel; the stop sign out front cautions you to "Whoa."

The world-known Gallagher Guitars are handmade in Wartrace; while they are not set up for group tours, individual visitors are welcome to drop in and see the work in progress, as Brazilian rosewood, African mahogany, Indian ebony and other beautiful woods are shaped into musical instruments.

The Log Cabin B&B just outside of town offers a relaxing view and country breakfast; Our House Restaurant offers fine dining in a 1920's era home; fresh seafoods, luncheon buffet, homemade desserts.
