It's so good to see new places. And it's so good to get home to your most familiar ones. The flight from Fairbanks to Seattle was one of the best I've ever had. The flight attendant made good on her promise, and found me a seat on the other side of the plane, away from the engine, by the window. With two empty seats beside me!
I spread my stuff out like the week's wash, reading, sleeping, and snapping pictures of clouds. Cloud 9, more than an expression. It's the way you feel when you've done something you've thought about for so long. Like the woman who wanted to live on the beach, and b'golly did.
Despite the torrential rains around Mt McKinley, despite the lack of polar bear sightings in Barrow, despite having only a few days for the trip and not a lot of bucks to spare, I had a magnificent, totally satisfying trip.
So, indulge me please, and gaze at these Cloud 9 Flying-Over-Canada scenes I shot, just for you. No, well, actually, for me.
