Left Koh-pangnang on the morning of the 5th of jan at 7:30 a 1hr and a half ferry ride to Koa tao nicknamed (turtle island) me and els have booked our open water diving course over here, josh and 2 people we know from back home ross cooper and his friend lisa have come with us we met them in koh pangnang-they are here for a 3wks on holiday in thailand.Els and i started our course in the afternoon in the classroom to to do our theory everything you need to know when going diving, fairly easy to pick up and understand, next morning we started bright and early at 8am with more theory  and tests and then in the afternoon we were heading for our 1st practical session in the pool,i thought id struggle with the theory and do alright with the practical but i couldnt of been more wrong,i really struggled today-panicking a bit(typical me) breathing to rapidly and to much and not relaxing enough with the gear on.it doesnt help when you've got your best mate naturally doing everything perfectly(elliot)i still learnt alot and gregg the aussie teacher has reasurred me that i will be fine for my 1st and 2nd dive in the sea tomorrow afternoon-wish me luck!!!!! got the final exam tomorrow morning early at 7:30am.josh with lisa on the back and cooper got scooters out the 1st day and went round the island which sounded really good, they found some nice beaches and found a really good viewpoint and found a place called 'quiet place' everyone there was apparently silent-no talking or nothing, sounds quite peaceful.till i do more stuff  goodbye and hopefully you will hear more and hopefully more pics on my behalf,my camaras been broken since samui(own fault) but were going to cambodia next and i hope to get 1 there so you will see more stuff on my travelpod i promise,(this comment is mainly to woody cardona, sorry mate) Els and i passed our written exam in the morning and in the afternoon we were due to go out on the boat to do our 1st and 2nd dives at 12mtres,it was quite scary the vision was terrible were holding on to the buoy rope with our right hand to lead us to the bottom whilst equalizing with our left, eventually gregg our instructor came down and bought us back up cos the visibility was poor and we went somewhere else,i had a few problems with my bcd everytime i deflated it it would inflate and take me to the top of the sealine,so i had to get back on the boat and wait for the others, eventually they came up and i waved and they saw me on the boat, next dive was alot better we done a few skills like emptying a half filled mask of water underwater and a full mask underwater.and some other skills aswell.next day we had to get up bright and early for 7:15 am for our 3rd and 4th dives it was a nicer day,we done a few skills for 1st dive e.g take our mask of in the water and put it back on and clear the mask underwater and our emergency accends.our 2nd dive was cool we just swam about looking at coral and fishes,it still wasnt the best visability but still wicked!
