! same day we went to a place called view point the highest point on the island.we drove up the windiest steepest hill to the top and got some great pics, and saw the most amzing views ive ever seen you could see the coastline and thousands of palm trees, the pictures dont do the sites and views weve seen justice! as we were driving home we randomly saw a Thai kickboxing ring on the side of the main road we stopped and watched these Thai kickboxers sparring and kicking the hell out of each other,so cool!ive got so much more to tell you but it would take to long to write,
left Koh-samui tuesday morning to catch a ferry and coach trip to Koh phi phi,got here about 5ish.its paradise here even though some parts of the island are still being rebuilt after being destroyed by the Tsunami nearly 2years ago.Its a beautiful place with the clearest water and sandiest beaches ive seen so far, were staying at a beach hut resort that doesnt have a name its on long beach and all it sais is restaurant.met this girl called claire on the ferry over here and this other guy calvin when we got of the ferry we all got a long boat to long island, theres no other means of travel on this island the only way u can get about is walking or long boats theres no moter vehicles at all.we are proper slumming it,3 of us are sharing a double bed by sleeping sideways, our shower dribbles water out and the lighting is shocking,u cant see much, weve been snorkelling last few days and its just amazing the fish are all different colors and species and the coral was awesome, its just like another world down there!we went out quite far to these rocks and found ourselves surrounded by barracudas, and then out of the blue we saw a shark i totally shat myself, quite cool but well scary.only me and els saw the shark, josh didnt so if he said he has in his blog hes lieing.a lapse of concentration has cost him dearly.its a little more expensive here but its worth it cos it is that nice, were hoping to do a day trip snorkelling to phi phi lao its where they filmed the beach starring leonardo di caprio.should be good.ive actually seen more swedish people than thai, its pretty popular with the swedes but i dont mind cos theres so many fit birds on the beach.we booked our long boat trip to phi phi lay costing 600 bar which included a snorkelling session, cliff jumping and a bit of swimming at the famous location where they filmed the beach,it was a wicked day went cliff jumping first we met these other guys on the long boat,2 guys from england seth and tim and an aussie called al all good guys and our guide for the day Em,a crazy thai fella.we got our gloves and trainers on and climbed up the sharp rocks to the top there was a 12metre jump which we all done ,me goin 1st and a 16metre 1,me goin 1st again it was wicked there was a 22metre one but it was just to high,Em the thai fella dived off the the 16 metre one and jumped off the 22metre one-crazy
! after that we all got on the long boat and headed for php phi lay and all got our flippers and snorkelling gear and swam around the island and saw some off the most amazing fish and coral ive ever seen, you could see almost to the bottom of the ocean it was amazing.after that we headed to a lagoon with clear calm shallow water surrounded by cliffs, scenary was incredible! off we went again and headed for myai bay where they filmed the beach, just before we got in the water we saw a barracuda jump out the water like a dart, awesome! swam to the rocks and headed through forests on a footpath taking bout 5mins and walked on to myai bay,it was amazing, white sand and clear, warm calm water, its all surrounded by cliffs with a small opening gap,it was good but overglamourised when you see it on the film,i think it was cos there where so many people there.after a while though people started to leave on there long boats and we were the final boat left there,it was much more beautiful when it was deserted and with the sun setting the scenary was amazing,it was a really good day, earlier that day we were waiting on the beach an hour before our trip and bumped into 1 of the australian guys we met on Koh-samui(small world) we went out that night with the 2 aussies blake and john and a few others they met and introduced us to,a spanish guy called Juan whos the spitting image of Tony Montana from Scarface,he was telling josh how he likes his class A drugs, quite funny! a gigantic black guy called Tyler from east london and a girl called carrie from Southampton, all of us are a bit of an odd looking bunch, and you'd never see us all hanging out in England but it just shows you what this travelling malarky is all about,we all got smashed and had a wicked night thats about it so far i'll keep you posted make sure you check out my favourite travellers josh wallin and elliot cardona they've go some really good pics and videos, better than mine simply because ive broken my camara and havnt got round to buying a new one,and that i never listened in It lessons and struggle to download videos, thats the price you pay kids always listen in school.next day we just chilled out on long beach,me and els decided to go and do abit of snorkelling at shark point a short swim from where we we were we got out quite far and the waves and the current was so strong,we were swimming as hard as we could and going absolutely nowhere,we were knackered and out quite far,we finally worked a way of swimming against sideways to which the wave were coming an after a tiring swim back to the shore we both collapsed on the sand exhausted and happy to be alive,it was quite scary cos im not the best of swimmers
! we wished wed just stayed and chilled on the beach with josh and john(aussie) we booked ourselves a big game fishing trip on a long boat for the following day for 1pm,really hot day relaxing on the boat for 3hrs it was really good, josh caught a massive fish i think it was a macceral, biggest fish ive seen caught until on the way back from the trip back to the shore we got whistled by this english fella on another long boat and he held up this gigantic mali, nearly twicwe the size.all in all it was a wicked day.
We pretty much just chilled next day on the beach on the sun loungers reading our autobiographys, and jumping in the sea whenever we started to sweat from the boiling sun beaming down on us,me and els decided to go for a snorkel over at shark point just a quick swim away from where we were, josh decided to chill out in the sea with john our aussie pal we met,it ended up being a good decision for no longer than 20minutes later we were fighting for our lives in the strong waves and currents! as much as we tried to power our arms through the waves we were going nowhere and losing our breath at the same time,we managed to get our feet down in a shallow bit of the water on some rocks and discussed what we were going to do,i had to reassure to els that we were going to make it and that he would see his friends and family again,in a way i think i saved his life with the words of belief i gave him! off we went we swam through the waves as hard as we could, fighting our way to the shore, we finally made it and collapsed on the shore-exhausted.just chilled last few days on the beach, booked orselves a lavish beach bungalow for xmas eve and xmas day.We call it the palace
! it holds 4 people,it has 4beds,sky tv,warm water, shower, bath and air con-i cant wait neither can the lads.weve met this girl called carrie and shes staying with us aswell so it should be a nice xmas,i think it was essential we splashed out that lil bit more for nice surroundings for xmas! its a time of year when you wanna be comfortable and relaxed. If you read elliots blog you will read about how a fly got his revenge on me for trying to kill it,we were reading on our balcony and a number of flys were annoying the hell out of me during reading time and i snapped and went for it,i missed it and it attacked me going for my eye, getting me in the cheek utting me off balance and made me hit my head, the boys were laughing et me for ages! it was quite funny,by the way MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!
Bangkok- Got here monday after a good flight,Bangkok is a crazy place just like Tokyo its a very hectic city,so much going on everywhere, heavy traffic, locals pestering you to buy things, get taxi's and tuk tuks its very good though the first night we got here we got a taxi to go get something to eat and saw these teenagers all on there moterbikes and one of em waved a handgun, went to a ping pong show the first night(very funny) seeing a bunch of thai girls shooting ping pong balls ands popping balloons firing darts out of there privates! its a must see! very cheap over here we have stayed for 3 nights at the d+d hotel which is a really nice hotel down kosoan rd costing us 6quid each for the night.need to start budgeting better though, have spent more than i would have liked.Went out second night and we got absolutely hammered cant remember to much, good night though.Been on a few tuk tuk journeys there like these 3wheeler vehicles that take you round the city just like taxis but are smaller and can weave in and out of traffic better, the drivers are absolutely crazy out here they drive like madmen, got some good footage of me josh and els on one of them.booked a coach and ferry ticket for Koh samui which is one of the southern islands leave thurs 30th nov at 7pm,cant wait to get to a beach and get a tan bit to hectic here!the coach cost 1000bar which is about 15quid not bad for a 12 hr trip.Arrived in Koh-Samui last fri and been here a week its been quality partied pretty hard all week really, rented peds out on tues and burned it round the entire island saw some elephants and the most amazing waterfall, you could swim at the bottom of it and jump in from the rockery it was immense
