I've never seen the movie, In Brugges, though apparently this town is much cooler if you can relate to the movie. I don't know. It's a very small place. All of the sights are easily accessible by foot, though there are not many. I walked around for two days and spent a lot of time reading my book in the park. I ate strictly from grocery stores because the prices are crazy here. It's neat though, there are a lot of horse-pulled carriges riding through town (tourists love them), it really adds to teh atmosphere.

The only sight worth mentioning was a cathedral tower, but I can't remeber the name right now. Anyways I climbed 366 steps to the top of the tower, which gave me a view of the whole city. That was quite neat. The steps were really small, only 2/3 of my foot fit on them. Richard would have had a very difficult time because his feet are double the size of mine. Nearing the top of the tower, the path was very narrow, you had to hold a rope so that you wouldn't fall. I didn't know what time it was so the whole time I was up there I was afraid that the church bells were going to ring (I was standing right beside them as I enjoyed my view of the city).

Brugges is cute and pretty, but one night spent there is enough.
