I didn't see much of Rotterdam, I was too lazy after my big bike ride. There are two important things I want to mention about my stay in Rotterdam:
1) I stayed in a hostel for only 10 Euro a night. It was a giant room containing 100 bunk beds. There were no sheets, just plastic matresses. It felt like an army barrack (or at least that's what I imagine it wouold feel like). The room was really large, everything echoed. It was dark and creepy.
2) Has anyone ever wondered why we have Chinese, Italian, etc... restaurants in Canada, but no Duth cuisine. I can answer that question. I tried traditional dutch quisine. It was some sort of deep-fried role filled with what they claim is meat. It's a white paste. You wrap it in white bread and eat it. I can safely say that I've had my fill of Dutch food for a lifetime.
