Any day now President Bush is going to be visiting the family summer house about 4 miles from where I am writing this. When he drops in , most will think that the place has been invaded by the by that unsophisticated back-slapping Texan. Wrong. The Bushes have Yankee DNA running right through the family tree chain. (Though the Walker side of the clan comes from Ohio). George Sr was born in Milton, Massachusetts; Barabara was born in Westchester County, New York; and W was born in New Haven, Conn. W's Grandmother and Grandfather - Prescott Sheldon Bush and Dorothy Walker (thus Walker's Point) were married right here in Kennebunkport in 1921.
Don't be fooled by that Texas accent. It's a fabrication of the conspiracy theorists.
