Yesterday we went to visit Duke U. It's a very nice campus. The professor I met was very nice and friendly, and the graduate students gave me lots of good feedback on the university and the department. The city itself is rather small, but nice. I was surprised by how many trees they have there! Even in the middle of a city, it seems there's just enough space for the house and all the trees around we kept - you can barely see the house beside or behind :) It was kindve nice, almost like being in the forest in the city :)

After visiting Duke, we went to Greensboro to meet my mom's friend for supper. We got there early, so we went to visit the National Science Center. It was ok, but their zoo was closed for renovation, and so there were only a few exhibits inside on view. The entrance was $8, which my mom and I found a little expensive for the little there was to see. I think they should've brought it down because the zoo, so about 2/3, of the museum was closed. Or, if it was brought down, then it's just a little expensive :) But we got to see a two-headed turtle :-D Apparently, they are not that uncommon!! But in the wild, they don't usually survive...

We're now sitting at the airport, waiting for our flight home, boo. Vacation already over, and tomorrow it's back to classes... oy. It was fun, I think North Carolina was nice :) Not as big as a city as Northwestern in Chicago (duh), but people here were very friendly. I'll see what I want to do :)

Next travel is.... Undetermined :(
