The Amazon is an amazing river with hundreds of smaller tributaries emptying their waters into it.  In some areas you can barely see the shoreline while in others you can see the rainforest or tiny settlements along the shore.  The river itself is a muddy brown but as different tributaries blend in you can see the "meeting of the waters"...black  or blue water swirling with the brown.  It is definitely an impressive river to see and travel upon.
