Roseau, the capital of the small island nation of Dominica, was the most tropical and green that we encountered in the Caribbean. Viewing the island from the ship it appeared like a lush rainforest surrounding tiny clusters of towns.
Once again we walked the city. It was crowded and busy with lots of colorful buildings. Two cruise ships were in port so the souvenir kiosks abounded in the port area. There are many pretty churches, a large botanical garden with mostly trees, and a government building under construction that is very controversial as many believe it to be a waste of money.
