    Melbourne was our fist stop where we stayed for nearly 3 full days and  nights.  Other than a great zoo and  lots of good ethnic foods, we thought that Melbourne didn’t come close to comparing with its rival, Sydney.  We did see some great architecture and  a wonderful Pissarro exhibit.
We call this a "second" city as there is a strong rivalry between Melbourne and Sydney as there is between San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Although we enjoyed Melbourne, we still think Sydney rules (as does San Francisco).
