From Chicago it's not far away to Oak Park, where two very famous persons were active - Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright.

In case of Hemingway you can visit his birth house which is a museum now. We decides against it as the entrance fee was quite high. But the reviews are very good and it seems worth to visit it.

You can also visit the museum and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright, but you can also just take a walk in the town and see houses built by him. His style is the Prairie Style and quite frankly I didn't like. Houses look like fortresseses and have very small windows. But well, everyone has different taste ;)

Oak Park is definitely worth a visit!
