Took Anna to a Georgian restaurant this time. Normally I just get the bill and pay but this time I had a guess at how much it would be and it seemed a bit high. Same old story, the bread, which was 2,5 hrynyi, ended up as 25 hryvnyi.
How's this though... When I asked to keep a copy of the bill as a souvenir, they ran off and suddenly it was printed out on a proper cash-register with an itemised receipt instead of the scrawl that they had had before. When they fixed up the bill it actually ended up less than it should been so I felt good about that but considering they had a proper cash-register it was such blatant cheating.
One of the mysteries of Ukraine is why the kiosks that one sees around the streets need to stock about 50 types of beer and vodka...
