In Sótony we were met by one of the Hungarian's (henceforth to be known as Péter) Esperanto students. This fellow is some sort of religion student and had to leave early to perfom a burial.
You know you're in the countryside in central Europe when you start spotting these huge storks that nest on the top of telegraph poles.
They'd already started cooking when we turned up. Luckily it was a beautiful day as I'm not sure they would have had much room for us inside. Anyway, we sat around, had some of the wine made from the grapes that they have growing around the house
and just enjoyed the weather and the peace in the Hungarian countryside.
Maybe some of us enjoyed the day too much as an unnamed member of our party painted the station door back in Sárvár from top to bottom with spew... and back in Szombathely the last we saw of our guide was when he fell into the bushes in some traffic island on the way back to the university.
