I had to head off to The Hague today to try to find the Ukrainian embassy. Just in case I want to jump across the border from Slovakia I thought it might be handy to have a visa.

I got off at the wrong train station according to the directions given on the embassy website, but by some rather strange coincidence I started walking and after a while asked for directions... I was told to keep walking in the direction I'd already been going and I'd come to one of the streets in the instructions on how to get there... and lo and behold I ended up right in the correct street without ever having to turn from the station.

The usual lot of worried looking people in the embassy. Like something out of a movie... some having emigrated and keeping their documents up to date, others hoping they don't have to suddenly head back perhaps.

At least the embassy staff was reasonably friendly, even though the only documents I had were photocopies.

This train station is not in the centre which is why it looks a bit older. There's another which is called 'Centraal'... I suspect that is more modern. Still this one looks pretty good.

Quite a pleasant view up one of the canals.

Waiting for my train back to Rotterdam.
