Well the holidays are over and we are settling into life on the mountain. The kids are back to school it is a really tough schedule 8:30 to 1:15 Monday to Wednesday, Thursday 8:30 to 3:30 with the last 2 hrs being ski lessons this is their P.E., Fridays off. On Mondays after school they play hockey, but the other days we ski after school. Cam trains Friday, Saturday & Sunday all day, Lauren trains Saturday & Sunday. I just ski everyday. I have 43 days in. i think my skiing is getting a little better. I'm doing ladies days on Wednesday, it is a great deal 2 hr lesson a really nice lunch with wine and door prizes for $32. Last week they had a world cup racer come Edith Rozsa she skied with us a gave us a few tips. She is an amazing skier.
On the week end we did something called cruz the blues where you get a passport and you cruise all the blue runs and stamp your passport at stamp stations hidden on the runs. There are 38 runs so it is tough to do. I liked it because I discover parts of the mountain I had never skied before.
On Saturday I went to a parent apres ski for the race team and once again proved it is a small world. One of the dad's of the racers is Don Spence I guy I worked with at TR we got our CAs the same year. He has been living here in Kelowna for 13yrs. He has been doing the race dad thing for years he gave me the low down on it. He also let me know that no one from the west keeps track of their days or vertical.Oh well I'm not a westerner. I also make the mistake of asking people what they do!
The sky has been bright blue and cold for days, I got some great pictures.
