First apartment since we left home...rest have been hotels or friends places. Booked via Homeaway and all good. Photos and story on web is very true, place has been recently refurbished and is lovely....quite small but still has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Shower small enough that after getting the temperature just right, I turned around a bit too quickly and my posterior managed to turn the water off!!
Day 1 we did our Big Red Bus Tour *2 today, they have two routes and we did both. Our place is about 20 minutes from start and so we had a nice walk first. Weather is perfect, sunny and mid 20's. So today we managed a good look around, jumped on and off for lunch. We've seen the main sights.....very impressive. I love the number of beautiful buildings....you can see that these guys had some serious money a few years back!! About the same time they had a presence in quite a few places around the world
Tonight off for tapas and maybe flamenco?? Definitely sangria
Tomorrow we get the car and also visit Prado.....photos next time
