Alight, well I made it to Domazlice last night a little before 10, found a pension and got a big double room with a very large bed. I was really tired and wanted to jump right in. I am glad I didn't because I probably would have broken something. The bed was a rock. But it was a warm rock at least. And the sheets were scratchy but clean. My room even had its own TV but the only thing on was coverage of soccer for like three hours. Enjoyable.

Of all things, I ran into a guy wearing a Nebraska hat on the bus from Plzen to Domazlice. He didn't speak English but he said his sister has been living and working in Nebraska for 7 years and has a husband there. He was my age with blonde curly hair, big earrings a big silver chain, and a joint behind his ear. He didn't know what the hat meant when I asked him. At first he was hesitant and looked suspicious of me. He spoke a different sounding Czech. I wish I would have asked him for his sister's address. That would be crazy to meet her and tell her I met her brother on a dark rainy night while riding a bus between two small towns in Western Bohemia.

Anyway, we got off the bus, he offered me some marijuana, I politely declined, and he walked me to this pension. He warned me to be careful in Plzen, he said the people are "bad". But he said Karlovy Vary people are nice.

I just had some breakfast and my lungs hurt from smoking the air in this little coffee shop. Ugh. But it's a cool little place, very welcoming and cozy. I want to go see this place. I wish I knew the name of my last known relatives here. I am going to Plzen next and then Karlovy Vary. Thanks for reading everybody.

Domazlice, Plzen
Sorry you didn't have anyone to check on in Domazlice. The only one my aunt Darlene found there was a niece to the Jelineks, with whom we stayed. The Jelinek family is related to us by marriage only. I don't know of any blood relatives in Domazlice now, but the name Vachal is on a building there, and I understand that was a relative. We'll have to do more genealogy next time you and I are there together! Anyway, I'm glad you got there, but I'm sorry you're missing the dance! Hope you enjoy Karlovy Vary! :)
