Okay, last day here I think. Tomorrow I am going to find Mass and then leave to go to Salerno. Dont really know where it is but I will find it.
Today tragedy struck in the form of my camera running out of battery at the worst momnet, on top of the Pizza of Venezia I think (the equavelent of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) so that was bad but oh well. I saw the Pantheon which was really cool and about 50 piazzas. I have to look at the map to remember the places... I loved the Trevi Fountain, it was amazing. I had some pretty good spaghetti here, and some pizza of course.

The Italians are really nice for the most part, other than this guy at the internet cafe. He was kind of a jerk yesterday. But this guy and his wife who run a leather shop were super nice and letting me try on some leather jackets, it was sweet. He wanted me to buy one so I told him to wait until after I graduate and get rich and all that, then Ill come and buy it. :)

Almost everything closes pretty early, by seven or maybe 7:30. I have to be in my convent by 10:30 or I am locked out I think. I asked about the convent where my aunt lived in Rome, The Servants of Mary but they didnt really know I guess. I did see a church that saud it was built for the Servants of Mary so I dont know?

Well Im out of time but keep writing comments, they make my day and keep me going.

Crunchy clothes, that ROCKS!
Ben, Awesome to hear about your travels. The dirty, smelly reused clothes is all part of the experience. Looking up at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel sure makes you feel small doesn't it? What will your legacy be? Reading your travel log is something we look forward to every day. We are so proud of you for taking on this huge adventure! I got separated from our group in Rome for about 5 minutes and I nearly wet my pants. Scary stuff but the gelato was sure good. Julie says she wants to go with you next time, her and 50 Mercy girls. Enjoy the experience! Love and Prayers from home. Dan and Julie
PS From Molly, I like him and my puppy ran away.

Finally, a Vankat in the convent!
Hey Ben! So... you're having a great time, but you smell. What's new?! I admire your courage at taking on Europe by yourself. It's so cool to hear about the people you meet from around the world! I also like that you have a convent now - as in 'I have to back to my convent by 10:30...' Those nuns run a tight ship I'm told. Keep the updates coming! XXOO Jenni

So is that why Europeans smell? (supposedly)
Ben- I'm putting extra fabric softener in our next load in honor of you! Sounds like Rome has been awesome. We're heading to North Bend tomorrow. Should be spectacular! Hopefully the lines at the museums won't be too long. Yeah, well. Thanks for keeping us updated. If you ever get a chance to get some pictures posted we'd love to see them. Keeping you in our prayers! Love, Val
