Ok, so it seems like forever ago that I left Prague! Ross and Katka met me at the Old Town Square about 1:30 and I condensed everything I would need into Katka"s bag and they are taking my bags to Olomouc. So then we grabbed a quick hot dog and stocked up on snacks for the road trip. It was a close call to make it on the bus by 3pm. So the bus driver and his 2 helpers were all from Italy. Now remember the world cup championship game was yesterday, Italy v. France. The bus drivers literally pulled over at a rest stop just so they could watch the game. It is almost a matter of life and death in fact. Anyway, Italy won and they went crazy. It was pretty funny.
So today I wandered aimlessly for awhile, then went found the Piazza Duomo and climbed the bell tower. It was only 414 steps. Haha. Then I took a bus to a hostel and reserved a room for two nights. But they open at 2pm so I went and walked around some more, then checked in at 2 and took a nap till like 4. The room has like 8 beds and 2 guys were from Argentina by coincidence and 2 were from Austria. I spent the rest of the day with the guys from Austria checking the city out and taking tons of photos. I might try to rent a bike tomorrow and buy a ticket to Rome. Whichever is cheaper, bus or train. I am pretty tired now but today was a pretty exciting day.
