Okay so I talked to Ross on the phone at the hostel today and he helped me find transportation to and from Italy. I'm taking a bus from here to Florence, Florence to Rome, and Rome back to Brno, which is only about an hour from Olomouc, where I'm studying. So that's the plan. I don't know how long I'll stay in each place, I would imagine it depends on what the accommodations are like and stuff. I walked around Staromeska for a long time today and took millions of pictures of Charles Bridge and the statues there and everything. For $2 you can climb the tower on one end of the bridge. It was a really amazing sight of Prague, definitely worth the price. I started to take a picture of every statue on the bridge and then I realized I had my camera on PC mode which uses less memory but has less detail so I went back and retook them all again so I seriously have about five thousand pictures. But I can always delete some. I made an appointment to get my hair cut at this pretty fancy place in the touristy part of Prague but as I walked away and converted the price, it would have been like $25 so I said forget it. I'll cut my own hair sooner than pay that much. Haha. Anyway, I'm pretty wiped out from all that walking but I gotta go find the bus station and buy those tickets today. Ross said it would be about $200 for the tickets, so that's not bad at all. I love Europe (even though they play American music all over the place). I hope I can check my email later cuz it's not letting me access it at the moment. Oh well, I have used this computer in the lobby of Hotel Lunik for free the past three or four days so I certainly can't complain. I might not be able to use a computer for a few days, so if you don't here from me for a while, don't worry (mom). Haha. J/K.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I am actually going from Rome to Naples, and Naples to Brno. I bought the ticket a little while ago and depart for Florence at 3pm tomorrow, arriving in Florence at 11:30am on Monday. I haven't scheduled transportation from Florence to Rome or Rome to Naples yet. I did, however, buy a ticket from Naples to Brno on Friday, July 21. So I'll be back in Olomouc by the 22nd or 23rd of July to "study, study, study" Haha.

Cool!
Sounds like things are coming together. Let us know when you'll be leaving for Italy! Glad you're going to make it there! Remeber, Italian's a lot like Spanish (even though the Italians will deny it), so that should help you figure things out. God bless!

Thanks!
Appreciate the update on travel plans. That's a long bus ride, but you'll really see a lot of the countryside, so that's excellent! We'll be praying fo safe travel! Love you! Mom

Buon Viaggio!
'Good to hear you made up your mind about travel plans. In case you need them, here are a few tips from Omaha:

You can book a train from Florence to Rome for anywhere between 14 and 36 Euro, depending on if you take an Express or not --- total travel time will be between 1:30 and 3:30.

Don't miss visiting the real David (it is worth paying not to just see the replica in the piazza in front of the Uffizi.)

Top things to do:
Duomo
Gelato - Straciatella
David
More gelato
Uffizi
A good meal and some Vino Rosso

If you are into it, take a train or bus to a small town in Tuscany/Umbria for a few hours: Try Siena (Florence's rival city), Montalcino (of wine fame), Cortona (of Under the Tuscan Sun fame), or Asissi (of pilgrim fame), or Ovieto (another hill town 60 minutes or so from Rome---take a beautiful ride on the Funicular to ascend the city).

Take care & enjoy the ride south!
Buon Viaggio!
