Sterling smells like sanitation. In fact, most of NE Colorado and W Nebraska smells like sanitation. Like there's an overpopulated hog farm and no one cleans up there. Along the way in Denver, we encountered our first bout of traffic. Some guy almost rammed into the back of us. That would've been unfortunate. Luckily, I was aimed toward the shoulder, so the guy knew to slow down quickly. Other than that, going through Denver was pretty uneventful this time. Then we stopped in Sterling for dinner. Since the towns along the interstate are stand-alone and are not based on the interstate exits, we had to go far into the town to get to a restaurant. Then when we paid, it was odd not seeing Vegas-like prices. A pleasant surprise.
