I decided to go snorkelling the next day because there was an opening
and it was cheaper than advertised, so hey, might as well. So I had to
get more money (cash advance) and paid for yet another night. There was
another couple and another family there. I got an old school snorkel
which is just a plastic tube, no stopper or anything. So with the
choppy waters that day, I got a lot of water coming into my snorkel.
But everyone was having troubles with the choppy water, so at least I
wasn't alone. But there was a lot of leaks coming into my mask, so I
didn't always get the best view. The view itself was alright. It was a
bit more sparse than Hol-Chan, but it was still neat. At the end of the
trip though there was barely enough room to swim over the coral, which
was amazing. I was afraid I'd kick the coral out of place or something,
but I enjoyed it. I got to see lemon sharks feeding on the shore too. I
took pictures but I lost that camera somewhere in Guatemala. Saw the
Cali couple on their scuba open dive too.

At dinner the English boys joined me and we ended up reciting poetry from the local children's book. All the children at the school wrote poems and made a book to sell to tourists. I think it's the best souvenir I've ever bought. IT was interesting to see what these kids thought. It turned out a bit depressing when every other poem was about destruction due to Hurricane Iris or how their parents died. It made me realize that these kids have tough lives. Now I understand why things are the way they are.

At night we decided to play the dice game. One of the guys was reading the dice game novel so we ended up playing the game. The dice roll determined the task, who did it and any other things like time. Basically they tried to set it up so that the dice determined absolutely everything. I lucked out and never had to do anything embarrasing, but some guys had to do push ups, roll around in the sand after a shower, go out to the ocean to get a cup of salt water, drink the salt water, etc. Fun night to say the least.

Turns out that everyone in our hostel (at least the ones that I met the first night) are leaving tomorrow morning. The boys stayed an extra day, I stayed two extra and the Swedes and girls from Queubec were planning to leave anyway.
