Leaving Buenos Aires was difficult. For one, I was injured during the football match on Wednesday night, so it was difficult to walk with two bad legs and lots of scratches and scrapes.

But also, there were so many people I would be leaving and wanted to spend time with them before I left. In doing so, I ended up leaving the hostel around 7:30 I think.  I originally hoped to be in transit at 6:30 pm.  This was all for a 9:52 pm flight. The taxi we called came a lot later than I expected.  I got to the bus station a little before 8:00 and the bus arrived at the airport at 8:50 pm. I ran for the checkout and breezed through departure tax, immigration and security. I even had time to go through duty free actually. My plane was actually boarding, but I decided to do duty free. Those prices were too good to pass up. And the boarding process involved yet another security check so it was worth going through duty free. I got on the plane with time to spare, but it was very anxiety provoking.

I was pretty sad to leave Buenos Aires. I wanted to have more vacation time but I really loved Buenos Aires and there was still so much more to explore. Pretty much a lot of the long term travellers I met were using BA as their homebase to travel around the region. Everyone I met couldn't say a bad thing about BA and no one I knew ever stayed fewer days than they intended. In fact most stay much much longer than they thought they would. I spent about 1/3 of my journey there and could've easily spent longer. I definitely enjoyed the rest of the places I went to as well, but Buenos Aires just has everything.

Maybe I'll go back someday and never come back.
