Where I stayed
I got a chance to see some amazing views on the way to Lima, and it was all aboard an extremely safe but nauseating bus. Along the cosat on the way to Lima, there were so many sand dunes, I felt I was more in a desert than in Perú. We normally think of the Andes and the mountains when we think of Perú but there´s such a varied landscape that we have no idea about. I saw cliffs dropping off toward the ocean, but it was just sand. And it was tough for me to imagine that these tall dunes were strong enough to hold cities and towns, but a highway as well. Normally when I think of dunes, I think more of the wind that pulls them away, but I guess theres quite the strength underneath it all as well.
We´ll see more when I go through the city, but the part that I´m staying in is more trendy bohemian yuppie than central Lima.
