Hello Everyone,
This edition of "Random Thoughts on Southeast Asia" is brought to you by our good friends at the Chill Juice bar here in Siem Reap, who remind you that: "Food is an important part of a balanced diet.". Yep...check out the photos today and you will see what I mean!
We traveled yesterday from HCMC to Siem Reap, checked in at our hotel, and journeyed to Phnom Bakheng to view the sunset over Angkor Wat. The view was beautiful, but somewhat crowded. Today we visited a host of temples and ruins starting the day at sunrise at Angkor Wat. I could try to describe all of them for you, but really I couldn't do them justice and would probably bore many of you silly. So let's make a deal....I will post a handful of pictures and you can give me credit for a 1,000 word description for each. How does that sound?
We have hired a very nice gentleman named Krey who is ferrying us around to all the sites in his tuk tuk. In exchange, I help him with his English class homework and, of course, pay him for his services. He is a very informative and has taken very good care of us.
