hanoi was my favorite city in southeast asia. the people were nice the city was clean, relatively speaking, and the beer was cheap. 25 cent beers outside my hotel is dangerous. the old quarter of hanoi was a plethera of little narrow streets with a incredible amount of scooters everywhere. you actually have to see it to believe it. saigon was the same but for some reason hanoi just seemed crazier. it was a great place to stay before heading to halong bay. i could actually see myself living in hanoi. maybe someday.
